Lois Holthaus, Breese, Il resident has enjoyed drawing all her life. She retired 2005 and took art lessons. The watercolor class helped her win first place in Town & County Art Show, Vandalia. That qualified her paintings to go to State. She won first place there. Since then she's learned drawing, painting on yupo paper, oils and acrylics. She has won BEST OF SHOW three times.
