Mindy Siddell spent her formative years on her family farm in Clinton County. She started painting when she was eight years old and through 4-H and the Town and Country Art Show her works have gone on to compete on the state and national levels. After high school she studied in the fine arts program at Concordia University Nebraska. On campus she worked as a photographer for the Publications Department and Lead Costume Technician for the Drama Department. She was part of the Student Worship Committee which organized special services that incorporated liturgy, drama, music, and fine arts. As part of the art education department she has been on teams that lead student workshops in Nebraska, Kansas and led workshops solo here in Illinois. She has been a part of the Clinton County Art Guild since October 2006 and serves as secretary.
